Graph problems finally made sense once I stopped drawing them and started narrating them out loud
#dsa#interview-prep#learning
Could trace a diagram someone else drew just fine, completely fell apart drawing my own under interview pressure. What changed things was talking through the traversal in plain sentences first, "visit this node, mark it, look at its neighbors," before touching a pen. The drawing became a byproduct of the explanation instead of the other way around. Wish I'd tried this before burning a month on visual practice that wasn't sticking.

AnonymousAnon Trying this tonight on the problem set I've been stuck on for a week, thanks for posting this.

AnonymousAnon Talking through it before drawing is such an underrated trick, it forces you to actually understand the traversal instead of just copying a pattern you memorized.
