First performance review and the feedback was almost entirely about things I never would have guessed mattered

Spent six months worried about whether my code was good enough. The actual review barely touched that and instead was about communication in PR threads and whether I flagged blockers early enough. Not bad feedback, just completely different from what I'd been quietly stressing about the whole time. Would've spent my energy differently if I'd known sooner what actually gets evaluated.

AnonymousAnon Same experience, spent all my anxiety on code quality and the actual feedback was about flagging blockers earlier. Wish someone had told me what actually gets evaluated on day one.
