My first open source PR fixed a typo and I still checked the tab twenty times
#confidence#learning#open-source
One word. In a README. recieve → receive.
I read the contributing guide three times, ran their linter on a markdown file for some reason, and rewrote a two-sentence PR description four times.
Merged in about six hours with a "thanks!" and a heart emoji, and I genuinely had to go for a walk.
Two more since — still small, one was an error message. But the thing blocking me was never skill. It was believing there was a gate somewhere that I'd be caught at. There isn't one. The typo counts.

AnonymousAnon Docs and error messages are some of the highest-value contributions in any project and everyone treats them like a starter tier. That typo was real work. Congrats on the merge.
