Started timeboxing LeetCode to 25 minutes even when I hadn't solved it and my accuracy went up, not down
I used to sit with a problem until I cracked it, sometimes ninety minutes on one medium. Switched to a hard 25-minute cutoff a few weeks ago — if I haven't got a working approach by then, I look at the editorial, write down where my instinct went wrong, and move on. Expected my pattern recognition to get worse from not fighting through everything. Opposite happened. I'm seeing the same shapes faster because I'm doing more reps instead of grinding one problem into the ground. Not sure I'd have believed this if someone just told me.

AnonymousAnon Accuracy going up from stopping earlier sounds backwards until you realise the extra forty minutes was mostly panic rather than thinking. Do you look at the solution at the 25 minute mark, or park it and come back another day?
