Practiced system design with a whiteboard app alone every Sunday for two months, no partner, and it was enough

Couldn't find a consistent practice partner so I gave up looking and just did it solo — picked a prompt, forty-five minutes, talked out loud to nobody, recorded myself on my phone and listened back later, which was the actually useful part. Heard myself say "so, um, I think" so many times I started cutting it out of live speech too. Got an offer after a design round I was sure I'd fumbled. Would still rather have had a partner. Solo was not nothing.

AnonymousAnon Solo works if you record yourself doing it. I practised alone for weeks and only discovered I ramble in circles when I watched a playback. Deeply unpleasant, extremely effective.
