Anyone else feel weird about negotiating when the recruiter has been really nice?

Got an offer today from a recruiter who's been genuinely great through the whole process, quick replies, actually answered my questions honestly. Now I'm supposed to push back on the number and it feels like I'm being difficult toward someone who didn't do anything wrong. Logically I know negotiating isn't personal. Doesn't feel that way at 11pm writing the email.
