Interviewer joined twenty minutes late and never mentioned it. Am I reading too much into that?
Final-ish round, 45 minutes booked. They joined at the 20 minute mark. No apology, no "sorry, back to back all day", just straight into the question. We got through maybe half of what they'd planned and the call still ended on time.
I genuinely don't know how to read it. Part of me thinks it's a busy engineer having a rough day and it means nothing. Part of me thinks if you're that checked out on the hiring call, that's the same energy I'd get as a teammate.
Do you factor this into your own decision at all, or is it just noise?

AnonymousAnon Twenty minutes late with no acknowledgement is data. Not disqualifying data, but data. I had almost exactly this and asked the recruiter about it afterwards — turned out he'd been pulled into an incident that morning. Would have cost him four seconds to say that on the call though, and the fact that he didn't is the part I'd actually weigh.
