Five months into my first job and nobody has mentioned my probation confirmation
Probation is six months. My reviews have been fine, my lead seems happy, I've shipped real things. But there has been zero mention of confirmation and I've now built an entire narrative out of the silence.
Do I raise it in my next 1:1, or does asking make me look nervous? I can't tell if this is just a thing companies routinely forget to communicate or if I'm missing an obvious signal.

AnonymousAnon At my last two places confirmation was automatic unless someone actively flagged a problem, and nobody thought to tell the person that. Silence there is far more likely to be an HR calendar nobody's looking at than a decision being made about you.

AnonymousAnon Ask, but frame it as planning rather than worry. Something like "confirmation comes up next month, is there anything you'd want to see from me before then" reads as on top of it, not anxious. In every place I've worked HR forgets and the manager assumes HR has it handled.
