My non-technical roommate has been running my mock interviews for a month and it's weirdly better than expected

She doesn't know what a hash map is and she's still better at catching when I'm rambling than the last two paid mock services I tried. Reads the question off my screen, times me, and just says 'I have no idea what you just said' whenever I lose the thread explaining my approach. Turns out most of what's actually being judged in the first two minutes is whether a normal human can follow you, not whether the code is right. Wish I'd tried this months ago instead of paying for it.
