Ran it through three different scanners, matched keywords, right format, no tables or headers that supposedly confuse parsers. Ninety-plus score every time. Sixty applications, four responses, none past a first screen. At what point is the ATS advice just noise and the actual problem is somewhere else entirely?
Adding to the referral point, I switched from cold applying to spending that same time getting two coffee chats a week instead and my response rate went up more from that than any resume rewrite did.
Have you had anyone outside an ATS tool actually read it? The scanners check keyword match, not whether the story it tells makes sense to a human skimming for six seconds.
Sixty applications and four responses sounds less like an ATS problem and more like a network/referral problem honestly. Cold applications convert at a pretty grim rate no matter how clean the resume is.
