Whiteboard-only round, no IDE, no autocomplete, and I forgot how brackets work for a solid ten seconds

Knew going in it would be whiteboard, still wasn't ready for how disorienting it is to write code with zero autocomplete after years of an IDE catching every typo before I even notice it. Stared at an unclosed parenthesis for what felt like a full minute before my brain caught up. Got through the problem fine in the end but that opening minute rattled me more than the actual algorithm did.
