I use Java in every interview even when the job posting says Python

I've done this for six years now, never switched. Every interview, I write Java, even for roles listed as Python or Go. Interviewers occasionally raise an eyebrow, and once a hiring manager asked "wait, we're a Python shop, are you sure?" I just said yeah, I think in Java, that's what you're testing anyway, how I think. Got the offer. My logic: fluency under pressure beats theoretical flexibility every time. You don't get bonus points for using the "right" language when you're fumbling syntax at minute 20. Pick the one where your fingers don't think, and don't apologize for it.
