fourteen days of silence after an onsite that felt like a sure thing
#imposter-syndrome#interview-prep#offers
Onsite was on a Tuesday, five rounds, and the last interviewer literally said "I think you'd be great for this team" on the way out. Then nothing. I spent the first three days replaying my answer to the concurrency question, convinced I said "thread pool" when I meant "connection pool" and that's why it stalled. Checked my email probably forty times a day. It was fourteen days before the recruiter wrote back, and it turned out the hiring manager was just out sick for a week. Got the offer. I still don't have a good answer for how to not do that to yourself in the meantime, honestly.

AnonymousAnon The ones that feel like a sure thing are somehow always the worst silences to sit through.
