taught high school chemistry for six years, now I'm the one asking dumb questions in standup
#career-switch#communication#first-job
The context switching from 'explain photosynthesis to fifteen year olds' to 'why is this API returning 403' has been humbling in a way I didn't expect. What's carried over is that I'm not afraid to ask the question everyone else is too proud to ask. Turns out that's rare in a room full of engineers.

AnonymousAnon The 'not afraid to ask the dumb question' skill is honestly underrated on most eng teams. Good luck with the ramp up.
