failed three system design rounds back to back, passed the fourth by drawing less

Kept trying to cover every failure mode up front. Fourth interview I just drew the boxes for the obvious path and waited for the interviewer to ask about the parts they cared about. Passed. Turns out the follow up questions were the actual interview, not my opening monologue.
