turned down a counter offer from my current manager and I think I made the right call but it's been a rough two weeks

They came back with almost the number the new company offered, plus a vague promise about a title bump "next cycle." Took the new offer anyway because the promise wasn't in writing and I'd heard that line before. Team's been noticeably colder since I gave notice, which honestly confirmed the decision more than anything the counter offer said.
