used a real system I'd built at my old job as the answer in a system design round instead of a textbook example

Interviewer asked to design a notification system and I just described the actual one from my last job, tradeoffs and all, including the part where we got it wrong the first time. Felt like cheating compared to reciting a clean textbook answer. Got the strongest feedback of any round I've had.
