resume gap from caregiving, put it on the resume plainly instead of hiding it, nobody blinked

Spent a long time drafting euphemisms for eight months off to care for a parent. Ended up just writing 'family caregiving' plainly on the timeline. Every interviewer either skipped past it entirely or asked one kind question and moved on. The hiding would've cost me more than the gap ever did.
