rejected after four rounds with zero feedback, emailed the recruiter anyway just to say thanks, small thing but felt better than stewing

Four rounds, two weeks of prep, then a generic rejection email with nothing specific in it. Almost didn't respond at all out of spite, but sent a short thank you instead. Didn't get feedback back either, but somehow felt less like I'd wasted the month than if I'd just gone silent.
