quit applying to 30 jobs a week and started applying to 5 I actually wanted, took longer but the interviews felt different

Was doing the spray and pray thing, thirty tailored-in-name-only applications a week, barely any responses. Cut it down to five a week where I actually read the whole posting and wrote a real cover letter. Took an extra month to land something, but every interview I did get felt like they actually wanted to talk to me.

AnonymousAnon How'd you pick which five to focus on each week, just gut feel or an actual filter?

AnonymousAnon Did something similar, dropped from applying everywhere to maybe six a week where I actually customized things. Slower but way less soul crushing.
