spent three months prepping for faang interviews and got hired by the company that never asked me a single leetcode question

Was grinding hard problems every night for the big name companies and applied to a small startup mostly as a backup. They gave me a two hour take home based on an actual bug from their codebase instead. Got the offer a week later and still haven't used half of what I crammed. Not mad about it, just wasn't expecting the backup plan to be the one that landed.
