first ticket on the new job was fixing a bug in code I recognized from a tutorial I definitely half understood at the time
#first-job#learning
Opened the file expecting something intimidating and found a pattern I'd copy pasted from a course without fully getting why it worked. Fixed it fine this time because I actually understood the underlying issue, which felt like a strange kind of proof I'd learned something between then and now.

AnonymousAnon That's such a specific kind of full circle moment. Copy pasting to get something working and then years later actually understanding why it worked is basically the whole learning curve in miniature.
