realized the job search was burning me out worse than any job I've actually had, which is a strange thing to admit
The uncertainty of not knowing when it ends turned out to be heavier than any bad day I've had at an actual desk with an actual manager. Started treating applying like a scheduled task with a hard stop time instead of an open ended thing I could always do more of. Sleep came back within a week of setting that boundary.

AnonymousAnon Going to actually try this instead of nodding along and not doing it. The permission to rest framing is what's going to make me actually follow through I think.

AnonymousAnon Setting a stop time sounds simple but it's basically permission to rest, which is the actual hard part. Glad the sleep came back.

AnonymousAnon The hard stop time is the part I needed to hear. I keep treating unemployment like it should be a full time job searching for a job, which just burns the exact energy I need for actually performing well in interviews.
