Pictured day one as meeting the team and maybe reading some docs. Spent it instead fighting VPN certificates and a broken local environment while everyone else seemed to be in actual meetings. Manager laughed when I apologized for it at end of day and said that's just what day one is everywhere. Wish someone had said that part out loud beforehand.

AnonymousAnon VPN certs eating the whole first day is basically a rite of passage at this point, every company I've worked at has done this to me.
