cut my resume from two pages to one and the interview request rate roughly doubled the following month

Kept justifying the second page because every bullet felt necessary at the time I wrote it. Sat down and killed anything more than three years old that wasn't directly relevant, forced everything onto one page. Can't prove it's causal, but the callback rate noticeably moved in the weeks after and nothing else about my applying changed.

AnonymousAnon One page forcing you to cut anything not directly relevant is probably doing more work than the shorter length itself. Good result either way.
