left a stable job with no offer lined up to go through a twelve week bootcamp at thirty four and it worked out but I was terrified the whole time
#career-switch#job-search
Savings covered about four months past the program ending, which felt like plenty until week nine when the job search hadn't started yet and the math started feeling tighter. Landed something in month five total, later than the brochure promised, earlier than my actual worst case fear. Would still do it again, just wish I'd budgeted for month five instead of month three.

AnonymousAnon Thirty four isn't late for this at all, the fact that you had a five month runway and still made it work says more about the planning than the age.

AnonymousAnon Congrats on making it work, that's a scary jump to make at any age.

AnonymousAnon Budgeting for month five instead of month three is such a real lesson, the programs never mention the job search tail after graduation.
