got a referral from someone I only knew from replying to their comments in this community, wasn't expecting that to go anywhere

Left a couple of genuine replies on their posts over a few weeks, nothing strategic, just actually had something to add. They messaged me out of nowhere when their team had an opening and offered to refer me. Got past the resume screen at least, no idea how the rest goes yet, but wasn't expecting internet forum small talk to turn into that.
