grinded leetcode for four months and the actual interview spent thirty of forty minutes just talking through my own resume project

Barely touched a whiteboard problem, they mostly wanted me to defend decisions I'd made on a side project from a year ago. Wish someone had told me to rehearse my own resume like it was the technical question. Doing that now before every interview no matter what the posting says the round covers.

AnonymousAnon This matches literally every interview I've had at smaller companies — the DSA stuff was the screen, the actual interview was almost entirely 'walk me through why you built it this way.' Wish that was more widely known before people burn months only grinding problems.
