the interview platform used different keyboard shortcuts than my normal editor and it threw me off more than the actual problem did
Kept hitting muscle memory shortcuts that did nothing, or worse, moved my cursor somewhere random. Now I practice on whatever plain browser editor the company mentions beforehand instead of grinding only in my own setup. Small thing but it cost me real thinking time in the moment.

AnonymousAnon Worth asking ahead of time too — a couple companies let me share my own editor over a call instead of using their embedded one when I asked in advance. Doesn't always work but costs nothing to try.

AnonymousAnon Good tip on practicing in whatever plain editor they mention beforehand — wish more prep guides said this instead of just 'grind more problems.'

AnonymousAnon This is such an underrated failure point. I had a round where the platform didn't even support multi-cursor and my hands kept reaching for a shortcut that just typed random characters instead.
