practiced explaining my own resume project's tradeoffs out loud until it finally stopped sounding like something I memorized

First few run-throughs I sounded like I was reading a script even though nobody wrote one. Kept redoing it a different way each time instead of repeating the same phrasing, and eventually it turned into an actual conversation instead of a recitation. Interviewers started asking real follow-up questions instead of nodding politely.
