started reading the actual job description line by line before applying instead of skimming and my response rate doubled

Used to skim job descriptions and fire off the same resume everywhere. Started actually reading them line by line and tweaking a few specifics each time instead. Takes longer per application but the response rate roughly doubled within a few weeks. Should've been doing this from the start honestly.
