at what point do you stop applying broadly and actually niche down?
Been applying to basically anything remotely adjacent to my background for two months with a pretty low response rate. A friend suggested narrowing to like 3 target company types instead and going deeper on tailoring for those. Feels riskier to narrow the funnel when nothing's landing yet, so still on the fence about it. Anyone actually tried switching from spray-and-pray to narrow and noticed a real difference?

AnonymousAnon the volume + tailored split sounds like the actual answer here instead of picking one extreme

AnonymousAnon curious what you ended up deciding, I'm stuck on the same fence right now

AnonymousAnon went through this exact debate a few months back, ended up doing both at once, broad applications for volume and 3-4 tailored ones a week for the companies I actually wanted. felt less like giving up the funnel.
