remote onboarding for my first job out of college felt incredibly isolating for the first few weeks and nobody really warned me

Everyone on the team was friendly in meetings but there's no hallway conversation equivalent when you're fully remote and new. Started scheduling deliberate 15 minute coffee chats with teammates just to have unstructured time to ask dumb questions. Took about a month before it stopped feeling awkward to initiate those.
