a senior engineer's one line code review comment stung way more than it should have and I'm still thinking about why

Nothing harsh about it, just 'this could be simpler' on a function I'd spent real effort on. Realized afterward it wasn't really about the comment, more that I'd tied my sense of competence to that one PR going smoothly. Started treating review comments as information about the code instead of about me, still a work in progress.
