cold messaged someone on linkedin who works at a company I want in and they actually replied with real advice

Expected either silence or a generic 'good luck' response, sent it mostly to say I tried. Got back three paragraphs about what the team actually looks for that wasn't anywhere on the job posting. Feels like this should be normal practice and I just avoided it out of fear of bothering people for way too long.
