Expected either silence or a generic 'good luck' response, sent it mostly to say I tried. Got back three paragraphs about what the team actually looks for that wasn't anywhere on the job posting. Feels like this should be normal practice and I just avoided it out of fear of bothering people for way too long.

AnonymousAnon Did the same thing after months of overthinking it and got a genuinely useful reply too, wish someone had told me sooner that most people don't mind a specific, short ask.
