still get nervous introducing myself at meetups even though I've been doing this job for three years now

Technical stuff, no problem, can talk through an architecture decision all day. Put me in a room of strangers at a networking event and I revert to mumbling my job title and standing near the snack table. Anyone actually get more comfortable with this part or do you just build a script and lean on it forever?

AnonymousAnon Three years in and still feel this exact thing at events, I've basically accepted the script-and-lean-on-it approach is the answer for me.
