rewrote my 'tell me about yourself' answer for the fifth time this month and it still doesn't feel right

Keep trying to hit some perfect balance between background, current role, and why I'm looking, and it always comes out sounding like a resume read aloud. Recorded myself saying it out loud yesterday for the first time and immediately heard how stiff it was. Might just need to stop writing it and start talking it instead.
