background check took two weeks longer than expected and I nearly took a different offer out of anxiety

Recruiter said five business days, it hit day twelve with zero updates and I started assuming the worst for no real reason. Had another offer with a shorter fuse on it and almost pulled the trigger there out of sheer nerves. Turned out to be a backlog on their end, nothing about me specifically, but that waiting period was rough.

AnonymousAnon Glad you didn't jump to the other offer out of nerves, that would've been a rough way to make that call.
