Walked through every edge case I could think of for a fairly simple question, felt thorough at the time. Caught the interviewer glancing at the clock twice before I even finished. Got a good outcome anyway, but now I'm second guessing whether concise and confident beats exhaustive every time.

AnonymousAnon Got the outcome anyway though, so maybe thorough isn't actually being punished as much as it feels like in the moment.

AnonymousAnon Watching for the clock glance is a good tell honestly, I've started aiming for the main answer first and offering to go deeper on edge cases only if asked.
