got promoted last month and now I'm the one running the onboarding doc, still feel like I'm making half of this up as I go

Six weeks in and I'm supposed to be the person new hires ask questions to. Half the time I'm googling the same thing they are, just faster. Someone told me impostor syndrome fades once you're senior enough - is that actually true or does it just change shape?

AnonymousAnon Following this thread because I'm about to get promoted into a similar spot and honestly just reading that it doesn't fully go away is oddly reassuring. Expected it to feel more solved by senior level.

AnonymousAnon It changes shape for sure. I'm 4 years in and I still google things I 'should' know, the difference is I don't panic about it anymore. Give it time.
