led my first design review and spent the first ten minutes just apologizing for the diagram being messy

Nobody asked me to apologize. I just did it out of nerves. A senior engineer stopped me halfway and said 'the diagram's fine, keep going' and honestly that one sentence did more for my confidence than any prep I did beforehand.
