started timing myself out loud during practice problems and stopped freezing when the real interviewer asked me to explain as I go
#dsa#interview-prep
Used to go dead silent while thinking, which apparently reads as not thinking at all. Forced myself to narrate every practice problem out loud, even the dumb parts like 'ok let me reread the constraints.' First real interview where I did this the interviewer actually said it was easier to follow than most candidates. Feels unnatural for about a week and then it's just how you work.

AnonymousAnon Did this too and it helped, though I had to actively stop myself from over-explaining every single step. Found a middle ground of narrating decisions, not every keystroke.
