how do people stay visible on a fully remote team without turning into the person who comments on everything

I don't want to be silent in Slack but I also don't want to be the one with a take on every thread. Been experimenting with only commenting when I actually have something that moves a decision forward, which has meant commenting less but apparently being remembered more, according to my manager in my last 1:1. Still feels like a guess though.
