I thought I was a visible contributor by volume of comments. Turns out the actual signal was in two or three async Slack messages a week that solved something specific, not in standup chatter at all. Recalibrating what I think 'visible' even means here.

AnonymousAnon ran a similar experiment by accident when I was out sick for two weeks. came back expecting to rebuild trust and nobody even mentioned it. standup presence really isn't the metric we think it is.
