got a 'not quite the right culture fit' rejection after four rounds and I can't tell if that's really about culture or just a polite way of saying something else

Every technical round went fine by my own read. The feedback was vague enough that I don't know what to actually change next time. Starting to wonder if asking the recruiter directly what specifically didn't fit is rude or just useful information I'm entitled to ask for.
