Refer & Earn Terms

Last updated: 26 August 2026

In short: Share your referral link. If someone who signs up through it pays for CareerVerse Premium for the first time, and that payment settles in Indian rupees, you earn a flat commission. It matures after 30 days, and you can withdraw it once ₹500 has matured.

These Refer & Earn Terms (the "Programme Terms") govern the CareerVerse referral programme (the "Programme") operated by ASOasis Tech Private Limited, a company incorporated in India ("ASOasis", "we", "us", or "our"). They supplement our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy, which continue to apply in full. Where these Programme Terms and the Terms of Service conflict about the Programme specifically, these Programme Terms govern.

1. What the Programme is

In short: A voluntary programme that pays you a flat commission for an introduction. It does not make you our employee, agent or partner.

Taking part is free and voluntary. You get a personal referral code and a dashboard; you share it with people you think would benefit from CareerVerse; and where a person you referred becomes a paying Premium subscriber for the first time, we pay you a commission under these Programme Terms.

Participation does not create an employment, agency, partnership or joint-venture relationship between you and ASOasis. You are not authorised to make any statement, promise or commitment on our behalf, to represent yourself as speaking for CareerVerse, or to describe the product, its price or its capabilities in terms we have not published.

2. Who can join, and who can earn

In short: Anyone with a CareerVerse account can join and get a link — that part is worldwide. Commission is only earned where the referred person's first Premium payment settles in Indian rupees.

Joining. You may take part if you hold a CareerVerse account in good standing and meet the eligibility requirements in Section 2 of the Terms of Service. Every account gets a referral code and a referral dashboard, in every country.

Earning. Commission is earned only where all of the following are true:

  • a person signed up through your referral link or code, and their signup was attributed to you (Section 3);
  • that person made their first ever paid Premium payment (Section 4); and
  • that payment settled in Indian rupees (INR). Our payment processor serves rupee prices to India, so in practice this means a person paying from India.

Referrals that do not earn are still shown to you. Where a person you referred pays in another currency, the signup and its status remain visible on your dashboard, marked as not eligible. We show it rather than hiding it, so your own record of who you referred is never quietly short. It earns no commission.

Being paid needs an Indian payment profile. Payouts are made in INR by UPI, so before money can move you must give us the payment profile described in Section 7.

3. How a referral is attributed

In short: Your code is minted once and never changes. A click is remembered in the visitor's browser for up to 90 days, and if they open someone else's link in the meantime, the most recent one wins. Once a signup is attributed to you, that attribution never expires.

Your code. A six-character code is generated for you the first time you open your referral dashboard. It is not customisable, and it is never reissued or changed. Treat it as yours permanently.

From a click to a signup. When someone opens your referral link, we store your code in their browser (a cookie named cv_ref) so that a signup can be attributed to you even if they do not sign up in the same visit. That cookie lasts up to 90 days. If they sign up after it has expired, has been cleared, or on a different browser or device, the signup cannot be attributed to you and no commission arises. This is a technical limit, not a discretion we exercise.

From a signup to a commission. Once a signup is attributed to you, that attribution never expires: if they go Premium two years later, it is still your referral.

If they open more than one referral link. Only one code is remembered in a browser at a time, so opening a second person's referral link replaces the first. Before they sign up, the code that counts is the one from the most recent referral link they opened — not the first. Nothing about this is a judgement we make: it is simply which code is in the browser at the moment the account is created. (A link carrying a code we cannot read is ignored and leaves an earlier one in place.)

One referrer per person. A person can be attributed to at most one referrer, fixed at the moment their account is created. From then on it never changes: opening someone else's referral link afterwards does nothing, and an attribution cannot be transferred or reassigned, including at the referred person's request.

4. What you earn

In short: A flat ₹100 or ₹500, once per person you refer, on their first Premium payment only. Never on a renewal.

The current rates, by the billing cycle of that first payment:

The referred person's first Premium paymentCommission
A monthly plan₹100
A yearly plan₹500

Once per person, ever. Only the first paid Premium payment a referred person ever makes earns a commission. Renewals, later purchases, a repurchase after a lapse, and any change of plan earn nothing further. One referred person can produce at most one commission.

Where the billing cycle cannot be determined, commission accrues at the monthly — that is, the lower — rate, and the entry is flagged for our review. We would rather resolve an unclear case upward after looking at it than pay out on a guess.

A monthly limit applies. We cap how many conversions a single referrer can be paid for in one calendar month. Commission above that cap is not lost: it is recorded in your ledger as held, and we review it and either release it into your balance or void it under Section 9. The cap exists to make abuse visible before money moves, and we do not publish the figure for the same reason.

Rates can change, but only forwards. We may change the rates, the cap, the minimum payout or the maturation period. Any change applies only to referrals that convert after it takes effect, and we will update the "Last updated" date above. We will never reduce, retroactively, the rate at which commission you have already earned was accrued.

All amounts are in INR and are stated gross, before any deduction the law requires us to make (Section 7).

5. When commission becomes payable

In short: Commission accrues when your friend's payment settles, and matures 30 days later.

A commission is accrued when the referred person's first Premium payment settles, and shows on your dashboard as pending. It becomes payable 30 days after that settlement.

The hold is not an administrative delay for its own sake: a payment can still be refunded, reversed or disputed inside that window, and Section 8 sets out what happens when one is. Commission that is held under the monthly cap in Section 4 does not begin maturing until it is released.

Your dashboard shows your pending, payable, held and paid balances at all times. A payable balance can be reduced by a clawback (Section 8); where the net figure would be negative it is shown as zero, and the shortfall is carried against future commission rather than owed by you.

6. Payouts

In short: Request a payout once ₹500 has matured. We aim to process it in about 7 days, by UPI, in rupees.

The minimum. You can request a payout once your payable balance is at least ₹500. Below that, commission simply keeps accruing — nothing is lost or expired for being under the minimum.

One at a time. You may have one open payout request at a time. While a request is open you cannot change or delete your payment profile (Section 7).

How long it takes. We aim to process a requested payout within about 7 days. That is a target and not a guarantee: settlement times at UPI, your bank and any intermediary are not within our control, and a request may take longer where we need to verify something. The request and its outcome are visible on your dashboard throughout.

When we may reject a request. We may reject a payout request — telling you why — where your payment profile is incomplete or fails a verification, where a referral in the balance is under review, where we reasonably suspect a breach of Section 9, or where we are required to by law. A rejected request does not by itself void the underlying commission; it stays in your balance unless it is voided under Section 8 or Section 9.

Currency and method. Payouts are made in INR by UPI to the ID on your payment profile. We do not pay by any other method, and we do not pay interest on an unpaid balance.

7. Your payment profile, and tax

In short: To be paid you give us your legal name, PAN and UPI ID. The PAN is there because Indian tax law may require us to deduct tax at source. You can delete the profile whenever no payout request is open.

What we need. Before a payout can be made you must provide a payment profile containing your legal name (as it appears on your PAN), your PAN, your UPI ID and your address. India is currently the only country we can pay into.

Accuracy is yours. You are responsible for the details you enter. A payout sent to a UPI ID you gave us incorrectly may not be recoverable, and we cannot reverse a completed transfer.

Why we ask for a PAN. A payout to a resident of India may be subject to tax deducted at source, and where a deduction is required it must be reported against the recipient's PAN. Where a deduction applies, we deduct it and pay you the net amount, and your payout record shows the gross amount, the amount deducted and the net amount paid. We do not state a rate or a threshold here, and nothing in these Programme Terms is tax advice — what is deducted is what the law in force at the time requires. You remain responsible for declaring and paying tax on what you receive, and we recommend you take your own advice if you are unsure.

How we store it. Your PAN is stored for the purpose of making and reporting payouts, and is shown back to you masked. Its handling is covered by our Privacy Policy.

Deleting it. You may delete your payment profile at any time when no payout request is open. Deleting it does not affect commission you have already earned — your ledger is unchanged — but we cannot pay you until you provide a payment profile again.

8. Refunds, chargebacks and clawbacks

In short: If the payment a commission came from is refunded, the commission goes. If we had already paid you, it comes out of future commission only — never out of your pocket.

Refunded before we paid you. Where the payment behind a commission is refunded in full and the refund is approved, that commission is voided — whether it was still pending, already payable, or held. It leaves your balance.

Refunded after we paid you. Where the refund lands after the commission has been included in a completed payout, we record a negative entry in your ledger of the same amount. That entry is offset against future commission only.

Concretely, and this is the part not to soften in any edit:

  • we will never invoice you, ask you to return money, or treat the entry as a debt you owe;
  • if you never earn further commission, the entry simply stays unrecovered; and
  • a negative net balance is displayed as zero, so it can never present as money you owe us.

Chargebacks and payment disputes. Where a referred person's payment is charged back or disputed, we record and flag it for review rather than clawing it back automatically. We may withhold a payout of commission connected to a disputed payment until the dispute is resolved.

Partial refunds are reviewed individually and we will tell you the outcome for any commission they affect.

9. Fair use, self-referral and abuse

In short: Refer real people, honestly. Self-referral, fake accounts, spam and misleading claims forfeit commission and can cost you your account.

You must not:

  • refer yourself, or any account you own or control, directly or through another person. Self-referral is blocked at signup, and any commission produced by an attempt to work around that block is forfeited;
  • create accounts, or arrange for others to create accounts, in order to generate commission, including accounts that are not genuine people;
  • pay for or subsidise a referred person's subscription, or offer any rebate, cash-back or unauthorised incentive in exchange for signing up;
  • present your code as a discount, coupon or offer — it is not one, and the referred person pays the standard price;
  • spam: unsolicited bulk email or messaging, or posting your link where the site, group or platform prohibits promotional links;
  • bid on our brand terms in paid search, impersonate CareerVerse or ASOasis, register confusingly similar domains or handles, or represent your link as an official CareerVerse channel;
  • make misleading claims about the product, its price, what it does, or what a referrer can expect to earn; or
  • do anything that breaches Section 6 (Acceptable use) of the Terms of Service.

What we may do. Where we reasonably determine a breach of this Section, we may withhold, void or reverse the affected commission, reject or reverse a payout, remove your referral code, remove you from the Programme, and suspend or close your account under Section 18 of the Terms of Service.

Flagged is not forfeited. Some signups are automatically marked suspect — for example, where a signup shares an address or device with the referrer. That mark is visible to you and is a prompt for review, not an automatic forfeiture; we look at a flagged referral before deciding anything.

10. The person you refer

In short: They are never told they were referred, and you only ever see a masked version of their details.

We do not tell them. A referred person is not informed that they were referred, by us, in the product, or in any email. No part of our service discloses it to them.

What you see. Your dashboard shows, for each referral, a masked email address, a display name if they have set one, the date they signed up, and a status. It shows nothing else — no contact details, no activity in the product, no payment details.

What you may do with it. You may use what your dashboard shows you to keep track of your own referrals, and for nothing else. You must not use it to contact, identify or profile anyone, and you must not represent that CareerVerse has told you anything about a person's account.

Sharing your link means the signup that follows is attributed to you and appears on your dashboard as described above. Our handling of both your data and theirs is set out in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes, suspension and ending the Programme

In short: We can change the terms going forward, pause the Programme, or end it. Commission you have already earned is honoured.

We may modify these Programme Terms. Where we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where a change is material, give notice through the Service or by email. Changes take effect prospectively; the version in force when a referral converted governs that commission, and Section 4's rule against retroactive rate reductions applies.

We may suspend or end the Programme at any time, and we may remove any participant from it. If we end the Programme:

  • commission that has already matured remains payable to you under these Programme Terms; and
  • we will not use the minimum in Section 6 to avoid paying a matured balance — where a remaining balance sits below ₹500, we will make it payable so it can be withdrawn.

Commission that has not matured when the Programme ends, and commission voided or forfeited under Section 8 or Section 9, is not payable.

Sections 8, 9, 10 and 12 survive the end of the Programme or of your participation in it. The governing law, jurisdiction and limitation of liability in Sections 16 and 20 of the Terms of Service apply to these Programme Terms.
